I used to spend a lot of time on Pinterest.
My Pinterest boards are a snapshot of whatever I was into or involved in at the time.
It makes me smile as I look through and remember…
When I was PTA president and was pinning ideas for the Year-End Assembly.
When I was the neighborhood hair and makeup artist for all of the cute girls going to high school dances, and needed hairstyle ideas and
makeup tutorials.
When I surprised my daughter with a bedroom makeover for her birthday and pinned all of the furniture and accessories and wallpaper
samples.
There are lots and lots and lots of food boards.
Especially desserts:)
There are multiple dessert genres represented there.
My favorite board is my quote board with all of my favorite inspiring words of wisdom.
But there is one board that stands out most as a symbol of where I was…compared to where I am.
It represents a time when I didn’t have any idea what I was actually capable of.
It’s titled simply…
“Exercise???”
At that time, I was 50 pounds overweight, focused on baking and eating mostly sweet treats, and not even close to having a fitness or exercise plan.
It wasn’t even on my radar.
One day when I was browsing Pinterest, I saw a pin that caught my eye…
It was a 4-week running plan for non-runners.
I thought, “I’m a non-runner! But maybe I would like to become a runner!”
And just like that I created a board, and started to think about exercise.
That led me to an app called ‘Couch-to-5K’ and with that,
I started my fitness journey, one step at a time.
Fast-forward to today…
I workout 5 days a week.
HARD.
I have been going to Orangetheory Fitness for over 2 years where I run, row, lift, and burpee with the best of them.
I have transformed my body, built muscle I never knew I had, and shown myself that I can do anything I put my mind to.
ANYTHING.
When I created that board, I had no idea what was possible.
It all began with a thought.
